500 Worst Passwords

I was exploring some cool, funny and interesting pictures on the web, when I stumbled on this “500 worst password” image on Flickr. After reading the list of passwords It made me think because although this is hilarious it is also a serious matter. Some  internet users today usually use some of the passwords that are listed on the image. Using unsafe passwords will make your account vulnerable for any attacks. I posted an article a year ago on how you can make a good password.

I actually admit that I have a passwords that are on that list but those are only for test my accounts. I have 123456, password, 12345, 12345678, pass, and dragon?? no I don’t use that.  But seriously avoid using any password that are on that list unless you don’t intend to use that account for your important transactions, subscriptions and membership.

  1. Amusing list. Using a password like these is a sure way to leave your account open for anyone to mess with. My girlfriend had one of these passwords for her blog and someone happened to hijack it. We’re still fighting to get it back.

  2. Interesting list. Same with you, I had passwords listed here which I used for my test accounts like abc123, qwerty, 12345, and password but for all my important accounts, I have very strong passwords and different on each. Better safe than sorry.
