Hacking has always fascinated me. It’s obvious these people are extremely intelligent. I was surprised to read about their punishment as in many cases it just seemed like a slap on the wrist. I was also surprised to read that two of the hackers have very successful careers now-guess they decided to apply themselves differently.

Hacking doesn’t have to be a crime. There are people who do ethical hacking. We just have to be responsible with the things that we can do and not use it to destroy other people’s lives.

The best thing you can do is have a proper security suite installed on your computer that includes all of the basics (antivirus, firewall, antispyware, etc) and that is from a reliable vendor (like a mcafee, onecare, norton) and ensure it is properly configured and kept completely up to date..
