Know What’s Indside Your Computer

Sometimes when you need a help to troubleshoot or upgrade your computer and your friend or a technician ask you some system specs you often face the problem on how on earth you will find your machine’s specification.  Here is a simple tool to solve your problem. I introduce to you CPU-Z by CPUID.

CPU-Z is a freeware utility that gives you every information you need to know about your computer including your CPU, motherboard, memory and system.

(This shot was taken from my 6 years old Pentium 4 machine – 40gb hd, 256mb sdram. I still use this computer even though I have a core duo desktop and laptop, It still run smooth but not as fast as before… I guess I just love this computer)

CPU

* Name and number.
* Core stepping and process.
* Package.
* Core voltage.
* Internal and external clocks, clock multiplier.
* Supported instructions sets.
* Cache information.

Mainboard

* Vendor, model and revision.
* BIOS model and date.
* Chipset (northbridge and southbridge) and sensor.
* Graphic interface.

Memory

* Frequency and timings.
* Module(s) specification using SPD (Serial Presence Detect) : vendor, serial number, timings table.

System

* Windows and DirectX version.
