Repairing the damaged partition in your computer is a tough job. Even when you know that you’re using a great tool and 100% sure of what you’re doing, your files are at risk if something goes wrong. Since the changes that is made in a damaged partition is most of the time irreversible, it’s better to make a back up before doing data recovery, although there is no assurance that this is the best solution.
There is a different and safer solution than this. You can use some recovery tools such as SoftAmbulance Partition Doctor then there is no need to backup and restore the files during recovery. You can simply take a binary snapshot of the damaged partition, and do the recovery procedure with different settings as many times as you need to the snapshot and not on the actual disk. The secret here is that the software allows you to recover a virtual image rather than repairing that hard drive directly. So you are working on a binary image and not the real thing. This binary image is a big file that is stored on CD, DVD or another hard disk. Although it may be virtual image, but the data you save from it is real.
Once it work, you can try fixing the damaged system of the corrupted hard drive without the risk. There is no need to rush the recovery. Don’t risk more damage to the damaged system and corrupt your data. Instead use software that will work on your advantage, bringing the risk to zero.
