Early in the internet days when your computer got infected by some virus it would immediately cause your computer to crash. Scammers today got much more smarter in creating and spreading their viruses and other malicious programs. They now realize that leaving their victim’s computer will be much more better to easily steal any important information from their victims. That is how they get your precious accounts, installing and running their viruses on your computer without you knowing it. In today’s technology, how do you know if your computer is infected and vulnerable to any attacks if your computer doesn’t crash?

Well, here are some signs to watch out for to know if your computer has been hijacked.

If you suddenly notice that your computer is going through periods of prolonged slowdowns then this maybe a case of malicious programs running on your computer. You will not be able to notice this because most of the time they are running in the background.

Your search gives you wrong results or you get forwarded to websites that you don’t have an intention of visiting.

Your computer starts to get annoying pop-ups. This is a usual problems normally caused by adwares on your computer.

Now that you know some signs, the question now is what is the best way to fix or heal an infected computer?. The very best thing to do is to have an updated and reliable antivirus. You can try different protection software if the one you are using is unable to find any infection on your machine.

Most of the users performs disk reformatting and operating system reinstallation if their antivirus can’t fix the problem. That would definitely help but make sure that when you create a backup your files are clean otherwise the infection will still come back to ruin your computing life.

You will never know what will happen to your computer once it gets infected, it’s just a bomb waiting to explode on your face. Some will send you unwanted ads others will take your data. There are some that will alter your search results and record every keystrokes you made this programs are called keyloggers. As technology grows so does the viruses released everyday that can harm your computer. You have to be diligent enough to be able to stay one step ahead of those scammers.

The next time you know that you computer is not performing the way it should be then immediately stop on what you are doing and scan your computer right away. Don’t give those hackers a chance to get what they want on your computer.

How to hack a Yahoo account? this is the most frequent question asked by many people in chat rooms and forums. You are reading this because most probably you are interested on hacking Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail or any password other password. Here are two easy way of hacking email accounts.

Ways to easily hack an Email:

Using a keylogger

There are two easy and possible ways to hack an email that is if you have access to your victims unprotected computer. If you have physical access to your victims computer then that is the most easiest way of of acquiring his account or accounts. This can be done by using a keylogger.

What is a keylogger? A keylogger is a program that monitors each keystrokes a user types on a specific computer keyboard.

Just like any other programs keyloggers must be first installed. Keyloggers asks you for a secret password and a hot key to enable it. This is because after you install keylogger it runs on the background and completely hidden adn your victim will never identify it.

If you don’t want to be a victim of keyloggers read on this How to avoid Keyloggers.

How can I get the password from it? you just need to open the keylogger program using your assigned hotkeys which is usually set during installation and entering your password. It will now show the logs containing every keytrokes made by your victim.

Using Phishing

Phishing or Fake Login is a technique of hackers I like to call them crooks , it is a method of crooks on getting valuable information on it’s victim that are usually private information or financial records.

This is a common trick to sniff password. It is now a widely used way of hacking email account. A Fake Login page is a page that appears exactly as a Login page but will only re-direct you to a false website they use to gather informations.

If you don’t wan’t to get Phished read on this How to avoid being Phished.

Countermeasures:

Here are some tips to prevent being hack

1. Never access your email account from the sites other than the original site.

2. It is always recommended to always type the URL of the site in the address bar to enter the site. I don’t advice clicking on the hyperlink to enter the site.

3. Install a very good and reliable Antivirus, Antispyware, Firewall software on your PC and it is very important to update it regularly.

4. Don’t ever respond to emails that ask you to update your account information. These emails provides you with a link to their fake login page and will ask you to login using your username and password.

I am not encouraging people to hack an account on this post. I just want to show the most common ways of those crooks use to hack an account and for you to be aware on this kind of crime and help you secure and protect your valuable accounts.

Know the crook’s way and you will be safe.

Sometimes protecting yourself is much more easier in real life than computer life. In the real world you just have to double or triple lock your house doors and windows to prevent any unauthorized persons from entering your home and steal all your valuables. With computers, it’s another story. Malicious programs has an ability to enter your system without your consent. Some programs can steal any informations just as you type it, this programs are called a keylogger. Keyloggers are programs that records all your keystrokes. Although there are keylogging software that are legal and useful most of the time hackers and even ordinary users use it to steal data. but there are ways to avoid these keyloggers from being installed on your system and to safe guard all your precious data.

Use a very reliable anti-keylogging software – Using a good anti-keylogging software is one of the best way to avoid getting keyloggers installed on your computer. Get a software that can effectivley detect, locate and remove keyloggers on your computer. Some anti-keylogger software can even provide you with certain information about the keylogger, such as the date it was installed on your computer. In case of future encounters with keyloggers, these programs will also prevent any infiltration. It is also recommend that you use more than one anti-spyware programs. Use at least two to man the gates, so to speak and another two to help you scan for invaders later.

Delete any suspected keylogger -Most of the time you will have to manually remove a spyware program. sometimes they try to convince you not to delete them, showing a message saying that it’s not a threat or a danger and that you will no longer enjoy its benefits. Don’t be intimidated. Delete it immediately because it will drag your computer down and threaten your security and privacy.

Learn Keylogger keystroke sequence - Some keyloggers can operate on a stealth mode. If you want to bring them out of hiding you should learn their keystroke sequence. These are keys you’ll need to press simultaneously to reveal the keylogger. Pressing Crtl-Alt-X, for example, will summon XPCSpy. Go to the PestPatrol webpage to see other keystroke sequences of most keyloggers.

Protect And Complain - To keep others from installing keylogger you can use your operating system’s logon restriction feature. If you can’t uninstall the program, try asking the manufacturer (if commercial) to help you. Some manufacturers will allow this, especially if the keylogger was installed on your computer without your permission.

Being vigilant and a little paranoid can go a long way to avoid keyloggers from being installed in your computer. Remember that with computers, forewarned is always forearmed.
